Freelance illustrator based in London specialising in handcrafted bespoke puppets/models for communicating emotive storytelling.
Covering a number of techniques from concept art, model making, painting, costume sewing, set design, photography and computer editing to complete the final illustration or animation. My models are made using air dry clay, plaster cast, fabrics, acrylic paints, feathers and other found materials. Wire armatures and changeable facial features allow for the models to pose and display a variety of movements and expressions.
My art is heavily influenced by the whimsy of everyday life and how this encourages the characters to behave.
